SockMonkee is a new brand created by artist/illustrator Chris Sandlin who goes by the alias of SockMonkee (yes, I managed to start and finish the sentence with the same word). Of course Chris Sandlin is not a stranger to the t-shirt community, he has designed shirts for other beloved brands such as 410BC, Go Ape Shirts, and Rockett Clothing, so now he decided to print a couple of shirts on his own. Looking back to Chris' work you realize that he is capable of drawing in a wide variety of different styles, but when it comes to his own brand he chose a more cartoony and playful tone and designed cute characters with funny expressions. The designs are printed on AA shirts using soft hand inks and are very reasonably priced at $18. For the moment there only a couple of shirts available, but I do hope to see some more of his original style in the future.
