Ok, I got an email to check out this new site called The Cotton Gang, and I have to admit it's a pretty promising one. The way Cotton Gang works is picking an artist and giving him a blank Canvas on three shirts. Then, the Cotton Gang team creates three shirts of their own, which the artist collaborates on. I don't know what percentage they give to their artists but it looks like they're taking pride in this aspect. One thing that is also mentionable about this new shop is that two dollars from every shirt goes to a specific charity (this months charity is Kristi House, which is a place where sexually abused children in Miami can get therapy). I think it's a little too early to speak about the designs and the style, since the're only five of them, but I personally prefer the artistic ones, created by artist Matthew Liparulo. My favorites are "Birds" and "Fly Pelican, Fly", which reminds me so much the classic Threadless "Flowers in the Attic". The prices, ranging from $25 to $30, are a little higher than your typical $20 t-shirt, but still are pretty reasonable. I wish the best to The Cotton Gang and hope to see more and even better designs by them... :-)
